Our Hope for Eternal Life
Do you know for certain that you have eternal life?
God tells us in the Bible how we can be sure that when we die we will go to heaven.
God’s purpose is that we have eternal life. It is a free gift (Rom.3:23) so that we can live a full and meaningful life now (John 10:10) and then spend eternity with Jesus in heaven.(John 14:3)
Our need is to understand our problem. We are all sinners by nature and choice (Rom. 3:23). We cannot save ourselves (Eph. 2:9) and we deserve death and hell (Rom. 6:23).
The good news is that God has provided for the forgiveness of our sins. God’s provision is Jesus Christ. Jesus is God and became man (John1:1,14). He died for us on the cross (I Peter 3:18). Jesus was resurrected from the dead (Rom. 4:25).
However, the choice is ours.
Our response is to receive Jesus. We must repent which is turning to God through Jesus and turning away from our sin (Acts 26:20).
It is like making a U-turn as you are driving. As we turn we place our faith in Jesus.
In other words Forsaking All I Trust Him.
